Virtual discussion Tuesday on outdoor recreation in Vermont

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The secretary of the state Agency of Natural Resources is inviting the public to a virtual discussion on outdoor recreation in Vermont.

Secretary Julie Moore is holding the meeting on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The commissioner of the departments of Forest, Parks and Recreation and Fish and Wildlife will also take part and talk about outdoor recreation during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Throughout the spring and summer, we’ve seen unprecedented numbers of Vermonters and visitors enjoying Vermont’s State Parks and Forests, Wildlife Management Areas and Fishing Accesses, and other public lands,” said Moore in a written statement.

“During this meeting, I’ll offer updates on the investments we’re making in our public lands, provide tips for how the public can stay safe outdoors this fall and winter, and take questions from the public,” she added.
