A hotel that feels like a summer camp in the Berkshires is the “coolest” hotel in the commonwealth, according to Thrillist.
The website named the “coolest hotel in every state,” which included bougie summer camps, underground hotels and more.
Tourists in North Adams was named the top hotel in Massachusetts.
“Tourists Hotel is a lot like summer camp…you know, if summer camp included luxury lodging, an enormous cocktail and natural wine program, a heated saltwater pool, and dinner reservations,” the website wrote.”Personally, this writer would pick all that over the itchy A-frame tents at her former Girl Scout Camp in a heartbeat.”
The grounds also include fire pits, candle pour classes, a Mt. Greylock hike and a tie dyeing class. The Souvenir Shop also has local beer, wine, champagne, charcuterie boards and “self-care goodies.”
Most Saturdays in June are booked. However, there’s still availability in July and August. Prices range from $309 to about $500.
Other unique hotels in New England include Connecticut’s Winvian, Maine’s Asticou Inn, New Hampshire’s Rye Motor Inn & Swim Shop, Vermont’s The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa and Rhode Island’s The Chanler at Cliff Walk.
