The Savoy butler Michael Peluso appeared on today’s Loose Women to remember his mum Lynda Bellingham a whole six years after she tragically died from cancer.

And while he was on the show, the panellists couldn’t help but ask about the new ITV show documenting what goes on behind-the-scenes of the five star hotel.

And it turns out there are secret celebrity hiding places in at least three places of the building – according to the new reality star.

Ruth Langsford who was presenting the daytime programme asked about the lifts – which have been teased throughout the series.

‘Well a butler never tells,’ Michael laughed before opening up on the elevators. ‘I can’t go into too many details, but we need to be in the hotel at three different places at once, and the secret lifts – that was a curveball!

‘But, that is a way we can move around the building faster to make sure that we’re there for our guests.’

Ruth pressed: ‘And you can sneak people in who don’t want to be seen I imagine, I know you can’t tell us who but I imagine they’re top celebrities?’

Keeping his cards close to his chest, Michael simply answered: ‘Yes, indeed.’

He then spoke about his love for the building and job, adding: ‘It’s that performance it lends itself to the role – you go into those marble hallways and you can’t help but feel that Savoy sparkle.

‘That is what helps us get up on a dark dreary morning at 5.30am.’

The series has left fans completely perplexed by the amount of money people spend to stay at the esteemed hotel.

One story that really got chins wagging was when a man paid £10,000 for just one night on Valentines Day so that he could deliver one heck of a romantic proposal to his girlfriend.

Rose petals were scattered across their suite while candles were placed on the floor – and the setting sure did the trick as bride-to-be Sarah said yes!

She told the cameras: ‘It’s a special place now whatever happens, this is going to hold a memory forever.’

Loose Women continues weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
